Hello everyone. How’s it going? I’d like to take some time out to talk about some stuff. Well, that’s not to say we’re taking time off from the site. More like time off to do something a little more relaxed.

Anyway, E3 just happened. We couldn’t be there, and it was kind of a bummer. Between commitments to life and fiscal issues, it just couldn’t happen. Next year? Here’s hoping. It didn’t stop us from checking out things as they were going on. It was a lot to take in.

The Xbox One had some neat titles to show off. Killer Instinct reboot? That was a c-c-c-c-combo breaker I didn’t expect. Sign me up! We also got our first look at the PlayStation 4 console. I think Sony pretty much destroyed Microsoft with their announcement about supporting used games and no silly daily check-ins.. Though, Microsoft’s since called off their 24 hour checks and their used games policies. It’s going to be an interesting holiday season, that’s for sure.

Animal Crossing proves that addictions do come in three dimensions.

So, I picked up Animal Crossing for 3DS, and I’m liking it a lot. I found out you can “die” in it, original Legend of Zelda style. I got bit by a spider, my character spun around and fell face flat on the ground. It’s just one of the many little touches the game has. I really suggest checking it out if you have a 3DS. I didn’t really care for Wild World, which put me off of the series for a while. I’m not sure what it was that I didn’t like, but it just didn’t seem fun. I loved the one on GameCube, and I’m loving the new one just as much. You’re the mayor this time, and you get some real control over the town growth. It seems like there’s a lot to do and a lot of replay value this time around.

I love how they left the instructions on how to slide in Japanese. Good job!

As far as other gaming stuff goes, I’ve been playing around with a lot of Saturn and TurboGrafx-16 games. I’ve been revisiting the Valis games and the Langrisser games. Funny how the one series turned into a Hentai game while the other was drawn by a Hentai artist. Ah, Valis X, why do you have to exist? Thank you for tentacle raping my childhood memories. D:

I suppose that’s it for now. I’m going to try to do some short blogs regularly. Maybe MogKnight and I are working on ideas for a podcast? Oh shoot, I wasn’t supposed to mention that. As always, feel free to drop a comment below. In the meantime, I hope you checked out my write-up on Metroid II. I picked that up on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for free. It’s offered on Club Nintendo right now as a reward for 150 points.
